A Buckeye Central graduate is returning with the goal of helping her hometown feel better. Beginning in February, Dr. Melody Heydinger will be available for chiropractic appointments at Young Chiropractic.

Dr. Melody is a native of New Washington and is excited to be back in Ohio serving her hometown. Dr. Heydinger graduated from Buckeye Central in 1995 and graduated with honors from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 2000.

After graduating, Dr. Melody moved to Las Vegas and started her chiropractic career working at a chiropractic office for over two years. She then opened up Serenity Spinal Care in 2003 and specialized in family chiropractic as well as personal injury, pediatrics, and scoliosis care for the past 10 years.

Dr. Heydinger received her fellowship through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and enjoys helping both pregnant woman and children. She is also certified for soft flexible bracing of Scoliosis patients using the SpineCor Brace. This dynamic brace is worn under clothing and has proven to be very effective in the correction of scoliosis in children and improving posture and reducing pain in adults.

Dr. Melody uses various manual techniques as well as drop table adjusting. She also uses the Impulse Adjuster which is a light force instrument similar to the Activator Instrument. Dr. Melody also utilizes various extremity adjusting techniques. While Dr. Heydinger enjoyed helping her patients in Las Vegas, she is excited to be able to raise her 3 young girls with her husband, Bob Mergenthaler, back in New Washington.
