GALION—A Galion man was arrested after he crashed the vehicle he was driving into a pole at Powers Reservoir early Saturday morning at 12:27 a.m. then left the scene.

Jarod D. Matney, 33, was arrested for theft of a vehicle, criminal trespass, theft, and driving under suspension in the 600 block of Brookside Avenue.

The vehicle was towed by Zeger’s towing from the scene.

1:12 p.m.-A Crew Avenue resident reported their vehicle ransacked and change stolen.

3:10 p.m.-A city street department worker found a metal wristband with the word “blessed” written on it in the 300 block of South Liberty Street and turned it over to officers.

3:27 p.m.-A Kroft Street resident reported fraudulent charges on a credit card by someone they know.

3:37 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 400 block of Portland Way North and the person fine.

9:02 p.m.-A report of unruly juveniles at Heise Park was investigated.

10:43 p.m.-A report of someone knocking on the door of a residence in the 200 block of South Union Street then running away.

11:07 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the 7700 block of Ohio 309.

11:42 p.m.-Two members of the League of Riders were informed about a loud music complaint.

12:05 a.m.-Members of the League of Riders reported a woman harassing them. The issue was resolved by officers.

12:57 a.m.-Jeffrey T. Levings II was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the 300 block of South Market Street.

2:54 a.m.-A motorist was issued a verbal warning for a plate light violation and one person was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center on a warrant.

2:57 a.m.-A North Boston Street reported someone near their residence. Alex D. J. Manzo, 27, Galion, was arrested for obstructing official business and criminal trespass.

3:05 a.m.-Michael R. Lucas Jr., 29, Bucyrus, was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of East Street.

4:03 a.m.-A report of a fight was investigated in the 400 block of South Union Street. Kristan L. Bailey was issued a citation for open container.

7:34 a.m.-An employee of Speedway reported the station was receiving harassing phone calls. Officers advised the male to stop calling or be charged with telecommunications harassment.

4:15 p.m.-An accident was investigated in the 200 block of Portland Way North. Mitchell Cotter was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead. One person was injured and Ronk’s Towing Service removed the vehicle from the scene.

4:19 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the Columbus Street area.

6:40 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 300 block of West Atwood Street.

7:19 p.m.-A parking complaint was investigated in the North Riblet Street area.

8:06 p.m.-Tyler S. Hoak was issued a citation for failure to obtain a motorcycle permit in the 300 block of Harding Way East.

10:25 p.m.-A report of a runaway juvenile was investigated in the 900 block of Downing Place.

11:53 p.m.-An Easton Way resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from someone they know. All parties involved were issued warnings for telecommunications harassment.
