Like any good financial planner, Doug Walter was on the lookout for the right opportunity and when it presented itself, he took advantage.
Walter and his wife Melinda celebrated the move of their business, Walter & Company Financial Services, to a newly renovated office building at 451 Harding Way West in Galion with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Thursday.
“We were renting Uptowne and decided we wanted to have our own place,” Walter said.
The offices are completely renovated with office hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 to 4 on Fridays.
Walter began his career in 1988 in the financial services industry and went independent in 2004. Walter and Company sells and services annuities, health insurance including Medicare supplements, life insurance, long term care insurance and mutual funds. His office can also assist in buying and selling individual stocks and bonds
Walter represents several companies and products. He is licensed with NFP Advisor Services. Walter is a lifelong Galion resident. He and Melinda have two children as well as two grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
