GALION–Caleb Brown “lights up” when he talks about the new electrical business he opened up this year.
Brown, 29, is the owner of C.B. Electrical Services, a firm that specializes in electrical work for residential customers in Crawford and surrounding counties. It’s something he’s passionate about – and something he’s always wanted to do.
“I decided I wanted to pull the trigger and do everything I can possibly do to go full-time with the company,” said Brown, who’s worked in the trade for ten years now. “We’re excited. We want to branch out and let everyone know about us.”
C.B. Electrical Services, he said, is equipped to do underground and overhead wiring along with service upgrades, work on panels and breaker boxes, and installation and repair of switches, outlets, dimmers, and other projects in the home.
“Safety and security are my biggest thing,” said Brown. “I’m not going to hack something. I’ve really fixed a lot of other people’s mess-ups already. Electrical work can be scarry, but it can also be very safe if the correct electrician does the job.”
Brown, who said no job is too small, has even traveled to Butler, Shelby, Marion, Ashland, and Bellville to service homes. He said he enjoys working with homeowners, troubleshooting their problems, and offering a professional recommendation.
“I really like to take time for the customer,” he said. “I really like to get to know the customer and feel connected to them. My mentality is to always help people out.”
Although he has been working for another firm, Brown said he is transitioning into a full-time commitment to C.B. Electrical and reaching out to prospective customers. “I’m starting to slowly get busier and that way I can go full-time by myself for my company.”
His wife, the former Anissa Young of Galion, helps out by answering phone calls and updating the company’s website and Facebook page. C.B. Electrical offers free estimates and can be reached by calling 614-203-5188.
