BUCYRUS — Officers and medical personnel responded to a report of a fatal overdose Thursday morning.
The Bucyrus Police Department received a call at 6:42 a.m. on a suspected overdose behind a residence in the 100 block of East Oakwood Avenue.
Coroner Grant Hope arrived on the scene at 7:15 a.m. and family members arrived shortly after at 7:20 a.m.
BPD Capt. Neil Assenheimer said the victim was a male, but other identifying information was not being released at that time.
Additional information may be released upon proper notification of family members and others.
Assenheimer confirmed evidence was taken from the scene to be tested and the incident is being treated as a fatal overdose.
Life Support Team EMS and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
