MOUNT VERNON, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a Mansfield man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash Friday night, just north of Mount Vernon.
Joseph Morr, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on State Route 3 near milepost 23 in Knox County.
According to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Morr was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer southwest on State Route 3 at approximately 10:06 p.m. His vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, then a tree, overturned, and hit a building.
Morr was wearing a seatbelt, the patrol said. The role of alcohol or drug use in the crash is currently unknown.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe Township Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation.
