NEWS RELEASE:

The Leader in Me Lighthouse Teams at Bucyrus Elementary School will sponsor Family Movie Night for all Bucyrus Elementary students and their families Tuesday, Dec. 19. The movie being shown in the historic Elementary Auditorium will be Disney’s Moana.

The event, which begins at 6:00 p.m., will include the movie, snack, viewing guide, sing-along, raffle and a possible visit from Santa Claus before the festivities end at 8:30 p.m.

“We chose Moana because it explores the themes of friendship, understanding and trust,” said Kim Haldeman, Staff Lighthouse Team member. “This is an opportunity for students and families to spend some relaxing time together before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and it serves to open lines of communication about cultural legends, bravery, and independence.”

The raffle will include board games and Kroger gift cards at the end of the evening. This is event is being offered at no cost to Bucyrus Elementary school-aged children and their families.

“We’re excited to spend an evening relaxing with our students and their families,” said Timothy Souder, Elementary School Principal. “This will be a great way to kick off the holiday break and I hope all our families will make plans to attend this special event.”

Families will be receiving documentation about Family Movie Night and will be asked to RSVP for the event. Please contact the Bucyrus Elementary School office for more details at 419-562-6089.
