CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Council on Aging (COA) has unveiled a full slate of activities for April, designed to keep local seniors engaged through social events, educational programs, and nutritional services.
The programming begins with bingo on April 3, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bucyrus center. Due to high demand, COA officials recommend that participants call ahead to register. On April 16, the center will host its annual Spring Fling dance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., featuring live music by Phoenix 432 and refreshments provided by local health care partners.
Continuing its collaboration with local organizations, the COA will host the Crawford County Park District on April 20 at 1 p.m. for a presentation on regional wildlife and conservation.
“I get to do all the fun stuff,” said Michelle Tuttle, COA activities coordinator, noting that the events are part of a broader effort to provide meaningful community connections for seniors in Bucyrus and Galion.
The council also highlighted its congregate lunch program, which serves meals Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Bucyrus location, 200 S. Spring St., and the Galion Golden Age Center.
Registration opens April 27 for the “Viva Las Vegas” Spring Spectacular, an Older Americans Month celebration scheduled for May 14. The event will feature live games and entertainment.
