The flooding that occurred over the weekend probably put a damper on anyone’s expectations of a white Christmas this year.
Saturday’s storm left many roads across the county impassable. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reported numerous roads closed Sunday, including parts of State Route 19 between Bucyrus and Galion as well as Biddle, Bethel, and Spore-Brandywine Roads. A dispatcher reported that Monnet-New Winchester Road was still closed.
In Bucyrus, Lane St. was still closed Monday morning. On Sunday, Sandusky Ave., Lane St. and River St. had been closed due to flooding, as well as the Gay St. entrance to Aumiller Park.
There were no road closings in Galion Monday morning, according to the Galion Police Department.
