Employment in Crawford County was a real bright spot when the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services released November unemployment rates.
The county’s jobless rate dropped by 0.9 percent from October to 4.8 percent. That more than made up for the 0.4 percent rise from September to October.
The county’s overall labor pool remained the same, but 100 more people were working in November than in October and 100 fewer were on unemployment. One year ago the county’s unemployment rate stood at 8 .1 percent.
Crawford County’s unemployment rate was below Richland County at 5.0 percent and Marion County at 4.9. Wyandot County continues to lead the way in North Central Ohio with a rate of 3.6 percent and Morrow County is at 4.2. Ohio’s rate is 4.5 percent.
Those rates have not been seasonally adjusted.
