Members of the Colonel Crawford FFA delivered smoke detectors to the Galion Fire Department on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The FFA chapter purchased over 30 smoke detectors for a community service donation and gave them to those in need. The idea was brought about by a member of the FFA, Ashlie Hatcher, who knows members of the Galion Fire Department and saw their need for the smoke detectors.
The Colonel Crawford FFA donated 33 smoke detectors to the fire department. They presented the smoke detectors to the Galion Fire Department Wednesday evening. The FFA members that attended were: Ashlie Hatcher, Kyle Hudson, Bronwyn Leonhardt, Taylor Lutz, Samantha Martin, Riley Erwin, and Jessica Brocwell. The members of the Fire Department that were present include: Lt. Greg Peoples, Keith Nickler, Jacob Gaffney, and Lamar Newswanger.
