Legislation that put a considerable wrench in the plans at the last Bucyrus City Council meeting passed without a hitch at Tuesday night’s meeting.
Two particular ordinances had caused quite a fuss over the past two weeks as council members debated and argued about the auditor’s request to cover the costs of a new computer and software for the Auditor and Income Tax offices. That storm passed quietly as the Council voted unanimously to adopt the two pieces, as well as an additional piece dealing with the codified ordinance update.
Eight other pieces of legislation were passed Tuesday night to prepare for 2014, ranging from budgets to year-end appropriations and transfers.
