BUCYRUS—After a special meeting held Thursday by the Bucyrus City School Board, recently appointed Superintendent Robert Britton announced that he is staying at the helm of the school district for three more years.
Britton comes to Bucyrus after spending the last 14 years as Superintendent of the Ridgedale Schools in Marion County.
Britton announced his contract in a district-wide email that read:
“I am proud to announce that at last night’s special Board of Education meeting I was offered and accepted a three year successor contract to be the Superintendent of the Bucyrus City School District. The contract will begin August 1, 2023 and run through July 31, 2026. I am very excited to continue the work that we have begun and look forward to working with each of you to create a positive environment for our students and community. As I have stated before I feel that we have a tremendous opportunity before us, the work won’t be easy and the change will not be immediate, but the results will be well worth our time and effort. If there is anything that you need from me please let me know. Go Redmen!”
