BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus City School District hosted its annual staff recognition dinner in the Bucyrus High School Commons on May 30.
The district honored an array of staff members for their years of care and commitment to the children of the Bucyrus community.
The 2017-18 retirees, Judy Grochowalski, Roxanne Shipman, Anne Devine, Tony Michalek and Katie Roesch, take with them a total of 152 years of experience in education. Additional staff members were recognized for five, 10, 20 and 30 years of service in the district.
Recipients and their years of service included: Ryan Cook, Allysen Coleman, Joshua Coleman, Bethany Guinther, Liuyi Liu, Kayli McCullough, Tony Rose, Ann Shanda and Michael Striker all with five years; Leah Barger, Nathan Hill, Monica Johnson, Kimberly Makeever, Sarah Martin, Dave Tschanen and Jennifer Weber all with 10 years; Rick Deaver, Kevin Kimmel, Sean Maudsley, Valerie Richardson and Shari Shuck all with 20 years; and Janet Corns and Karen Kocher both with 30 years.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff members that were honored during the district staff recognition dinner, especially those staff members who have retired from education,” said Superintendent Kevin Kimmel. “Their countless years of dedication to the students of the Bucyrus City Schools are greatly appreciated.”
