Other than answering to the routine phone calls, the Bucyrus Police Department had an eventful Thursday this past week making two arrests, and assisting recovering a stolen all-terrain vehicle.

Terry Schurch, was arrested in the 1800 block of E. Mansfield St. after the report of a vehicle being driven into the retention pond in front of Walmart at 3:41 PM Thursday, Schurch, 62, is charged with failure to control, disorderly conduct and abusing harmful intoxicants. He was transported to Crawford County Justice Center.

Tyler J. Waldbauer was arrested in the 100 block of Franklin Street and charged with assault. Waldbauer, 19, with no address was also served a summons from a separate incident. Waldbauer was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.

At 5:04 PM officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in watching for a stolen 4-wheeler. The 4-wheeler was stolen from Spore Brandywine Road, and was stopped and recovered by the Crawford County Sherriff’s Office on East Irving Street. A Bucyrus Individual had ridden a purple Columbia Arcadia bicycle to Spore Brandywine Road, and abandoned the bike.
