BUCYRUS—Johnathan Fletcher, 32, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to failure to comply, a felony of the third degree punishable with up to 36 months in prison, one count of drug trafficking, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison, and one count of drug possession, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leüthold accepted a negotiated plea agreement. Judge Leuthold sentenced Fletcher to 18 months on the failure to comply charge and six months in prison on each of the other charges. Fletcher will spend a total of 30 months in prison.
Fletcher was ordered to forfeit all drug-related property, cell phones, and $201.00 in cash. He will receive 36 days of jail time credit.
Mikel Knetter, 44, of Bucyrus, admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his community control.
Knetter pleaded guilty in 2018 to one count of domestic violence, a third-degree felony. He was sentenced to 36 months in prison in August of 2018 and granted judicial release in November of 2018. He was placed on community control.
In 2019 Knetter pleaded guilty to another domestic violence charge. He was continued on community control and ordered to complete domestic violence and anger management counseling, as well as all follow-up treatment.
According to probation officer Chris Heydinger, Knetter failed to complete the court-ordered treatment. He stacked up other violations that included a new domestic violence charge in February, having firearms under disability using a .22 caliber revolver, and admitted marijuana use.
In a negotiated plea agreement, Judge Leuthold reimposed 36 months in prison on the judicial release case and sentenced Knetter to an additional 36 months in prison on the 2019 charge. Knetter will spend the next 72 months in prison.
The new domestic violence charge was dismissed. With the dismissal of the latest charge, all no-contact orders were dismissed as well.
