NEWS RELEASE:
The Community Foundation for Crawford County will be sponsoring Giving2sday this year, and the Bucyrus Education Foundation has the opportunity to benefit. This daylong event, Giving2sday, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our Education Foundation to benefit from not only the generosity of our donors, but also the generosity of the Community Foundation for Crawford County,” said Bucyrus Superintendent Kevin Kimmel. “We hope all those interested in helping the Bucyrus City School District’s relentless pursuit of success will make a contribution to the Foundation.”
Throughout the course of a school year, the Education Foundation awards Mini-Grants to teachers and administrators. These Mini-Grants are used to enhance the classroom experience of students in the Bucyrus City Schools.
“Many of our teachers utilize the Mini-Grants to purchase equipment, books and other supplies needed to deliver a quality education to the students of our district,” said Kimmel. “We hope Redmen supporters will come out in force to help the Education Foundation continue providing the dollars needed for our teachers and students.”
Giving2sday contributions will be accepted at The Community Foundation for Crawford County office, 254 E. Mansfield St., on Tuesday, Nov. 28 or you can give your donations to any BEF committee member. For cash donations, we ask that you submit a list of contributors and the amounts for each contribution. Please ensure that donations by check are made payable to The Community Foundation for Crawford County with the name of the school in the memo line. If donations are mailed, they need to be postmarked by November 28. Donations may also be made on-line through their web site, https://tcf4cc.networkforgood.com/.
