BUCYRUS – Outside with temperatures around 30 degrees, the Bucyrus City Council met on the steps of City Hall Tuesday night, for their regular full council meeting. The meeting was called to order by Council President Kurt Fankhauser, the meeting started with everyone looking for a flag to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. After the pledge, Councilman James Mee, made a motion to overturn the ruling Mayor Jeff Reser made to close City Hall. The motion died from a lack of a second. Fankhauser explained that if this did not get a second then they would have to conduct the rest of the meeting outside. Councilman Kevin Myers made a motion to adjourn the meeting and the meeting was then over. The emergency declaration by the Mayor, closing City Hall still stands. The council will hold their regular full council meeting online at a date to be announced. Mayor Reser live-streamed the meeting on Facebook with 850 viewers.
