Two local, longtime funeral home operations have decided their futures are best served by joining together. Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion and Snyder Funeral Homes of Mansfield have announced their merger.
Richardson-Davis began operations in Galion in 1853 under the direction of Philip Herbold Sr. Ken Davis joined the business in 1978 and will assume a principal position with Snyder Funeral Homes.
Snyder Funeral Homes operates funeral homes in Richland, Morrow, Marion, Knox and Delaware counties.
The entire Richardson-Davis staff will be retained and a new full-time position will be filled by Colonel Crawford graduate Eric Sparks.
