Press release
The Crawford County Farm Bureau, in partnership with local farmers, will celebrate the role farmers play in our community as its annual Farmers’ Share Breakfast. The breakfast will be held Saturday, February 20, 2013, from 7am to 10:30am at Hannah Crawford Elementary School. The cost of the meal is just $1, which includes made-to-order omelets, sausage, pastries, orange juice, milk, and coffee. The price represents what farmers receive for their share of food production.
“Farmers and ranchers remain committed to producing safe, healthy food for consumers, and we share with consumers many of the same concerns about putting nutritious meals on the table on a tight budget,” says Amanda Wagner, event chair. “By inviting consumers to our Farmers’ Share Breakfast, we hope to connect with them and provide a better understanding of the origins of the food on their plates.”
