BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The City of Bucyrus has announced that annual fall leaf collection will officially begin the week of November 2. Residents are encouraged to prepare their yards and review local collection guidelines to help keep city streets clear and equipment running smoothly.

To ensure efficient service, residents are asked to follow these key instructions:

Location: Rake leaves directly onto the tree lawn area.

Keep Roads and Drains Clear: Do not place leaves in the roadway or block curb drains, as this can create traffic hazards and prevent proper stormwater drainage.

Leaves Only: Collection crews will only pick up leaves. Grass clippings, branches, sticks, and other yard debris will not be collected.

Early Disposal Option

For residents who wish to clear their lawns prior to the week of November 2, the City Compost Site is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

City officials urge drivers and pedestrians to exercise extra caution when traveling near leaf collection crews and heavy equipment working along neighborhood streets.
