The 2013 Bratwurst Festival will officially open at noon on Thursday and this year there will be a new addition to the festival grounds.
According to Michelle Horsley, the German Heritage Area will be located north of the railroad tracks on North Sandusky Avenue and its allocation will allow people to see and enjoy the entertainment at both the North Stage as well as the Farmers-Citizens Bank Stage. After 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and all day on Saturday beer will be sold in the German Heritage Area.
In addition there will be entertainment in the there from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, 1 to 7 p.m. Friday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Two big concerts will take place this year at the Festival. Cherry Blonde will open for Phil Dirt and the Dozers on Friday evening and on Saturday the Celler Dwellers will precede the O’Donnells, followed by the country and western duo Love and Theft.
