Jim Jordan, a Congressman representing the 4th district in Ohio, will be speaking at a Lincoln Lunch to be held on April 7, 2014 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Crawford County Fairgrounds Youth Building. The Lincoln Lunch is being sponsored by Crawford County Republican Organizations in an effort to support the local businesses, who are encouraged to attend this event to learn more about relevant and timely public policy that may have an effect on local businesses and the economy.
Congressman Jordan was first elected to Congress in 2007 and has a distinguished public career spanning some twenty years.
In Congress, Jordan has emerged as a prominent defender of the taxpayer’s pocketbook and is an advocate for the taxpayer against waste, fraud and abuse in the Federal government. As a fiscal conservative, Jordan has led the fight against tax hikes and believes that cutting taxes will help to build strong communities and a vibrant economy.
As one of the most conservative members of Congress, Jordan has been recognized by organizations such as The Citizens against Government Waste and The Family Research Council; and he received awards from The Americans for Tax Reform’s Friend and was the 2011 Weyrich Award winner for “National Legislator of the Year”.
Congressman Jordan was raised in Champaign County and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin where he was a two-time NCAA wrestling champion. Jordan later earned a Master’s degree in Education from the Ohio State University and a law degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
Congressman Jordan currently serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee where he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Job Creation and Regulatory Affairs.
