The Bucyrus City Schools Preschool is excited to announce that registration for the 2014-2015 school year is now open. Any interested parents or families can contact the Bucyrus Elementary School at 419-562-6089, or visit the school at 245 Woodlawn Avenue, to request a registration packet.
New for the 2014-2015 academic year, the Bucyrus Preschool Program will be offering three classes due to a greater than expected interest in the program. The morning classes will meet from 8:05-11:05 a.m., with an optional lunch available from 11:05-11:30 a.m. The afternoon classes will meet from 12:05-3:05 p.m., with an optional lunch available from 11:35 a.m.-12:05 p.m.
The preschool screening process will be conducted June 6 and June 9 for students enrolling in the program. Additional screening information will be provided after the registration packet is returned to the Bucyrus Elementary School.
Bucyrus Preschool offers a highly qualified teaching staff and certified education aides. Qualifying students may also receive occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy during the school day. There is no cost for families that meet free lunch eligibility, and a sliding fee scale is available to ensure all families have access to a quality preschool program.
An electronic version of the registration packet is available in the “District Forms” section of the school’s website, www.bucyrusschools.org. However, interested parents are strongly encouraged to obtain a hard copy of the registration from the Elementary School.
