The lone man who was still at-large after a drug bust in Bucyrus was finally caught Monday night.

Thirty-five-year-old Joshua Blankenship was wanted by Bucyrus police after officers executed a search warrant at a South Walnut Street home on March 18. He was being sought by authorities for active warrants out of Crawford and Seneca counties.

After asking for the public’s help in locating Blankenship, he was finally located in the 400 block of W. Oakwood Ave. by Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies Monday night and taken into custody on a felony probation violation warrant. The Sheriff’s Office reported that additional charges of possession of drug abuse instruments would also be filed against Blankenship.

Blankenship then appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Tuesday afternoon for an initial hearing on community control violations. His supervising officer stated that Blankenship admitted to using cocaine on four different occasions, admitted to using marijuana and heroin on another occasion, failed to report to his office visits, changed his address without permission, and failed to comply with his substance abuse counseling.

Judge Russell Wiseman appointed Shane Leuthold as Blankenship’s attorney and set bond at $75,000.

Blankenship, who had served four out of five years in prison on a felony two robbery case in 2009, could serve out the remainder of his prison sentence.
