9:29 a.m.-Officers investigated a report of theft of utilities in the 300 block of Songer Avenue.

10:11 a.m.-Officers checked the welfare of a woman in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

10:52 a.m.-A woman spoke to an officer at the police department about some text messages she’s receiving.

12:15 p.m.-A parking ticket was issued for junk vehicle in the 1000 block of East Warren Street.

1:10 p.m.-Officers assisted Children Services on Colonial Drive.

1:24 p.m.-Officers checked the 300 block of East Warren Street after a report of a suspicious man in the area.

2:20 p.m.-A report of a reckless driver on Marion Road was investigated.

2:39 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of suspicious persons in the 400 block of South Poplar Street.

3:06 p.m.- A theft report was taken at the police department.

4:30 p.m.- One income tax summons was served in the 600 block of West Charles Street.

4:51 p.m.- A civil standby was requested in the 200 block of West Warren Street.

5:00 p.m.- A theft report was taken at the police department.

6:01 p.m.- A civil standby was requested in the 600 block of South Walnut Street.

7:37 p.m.- Fourteen income tax summons were served in the 300 block of East Mansfield Street.

7:50 p.m.- Officers assisted Portsmouth  Ambulance Service in the 800 block of Hopley Avenue.

8:18 p.m.- A report of a dog barking in the 400 block of Myers Street was investigated.

9:22 p.m.-A report of an open building in the 1000 block of East Beal Avenue was investigated.

10:12 p.m.- Officers checked the welfare of a male at Circle K. He was fine but needed directions.

10:14 p.m.- A traffic citation for driving under suspension was issued when a traffic incident on Washington Street near Woodbine Apartments was investigated.  The vehicle was towed from the area. The driver had been traveling south on Washington Street, past Suburban Lanes and Woodbine Apartments, and did not recognize that the road had ended and drove their Saline Ford Mustang convertible about 100 feet into the soggy, muddy field. Good Samaritans took the driver home to the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue where the citation was issued.
