The Buckeye Central Buckettes moved onto the Division IV District Semi-Finals in exciting fashion Saturday night.
Brooke Karl hit a 3 point buzzer beater to give Buckeye Central a 39-38 win over North Central Conference rival Colonel Crawford in the Division IV Sectional Finals at the ORena in Ontario.
Karl led the Buckettes in scoring with 14 points, while Kilee Kimmel aided the Buckettes cause with 11 points.
With the win Buckeye Central improves to 11-13 and moves on to the Division IV District Semi-Finals against New Riegel at Shelby High School at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Colonel Crawford was led by Katie Siegel’s 16 points.
With the loss the Eagles’ season ends with a 6-18 record.
