SHELBY — The identity of a man injured in a two-vehicle injury crash at the intersection of two state highways has been released by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Kissling, Tyler Schnel of Medina was released from Grant Medical Center in Columbus after being transported by MedFlight on Thursday after the crash.

Results of an investigation showed Schnel was traveling northbound on Ohio 598 when he ran a stop sign and entered the intersection of Ohio 598 and Ohio 98. He attempted to turn left and westbound on Ohio 98 when he pulled in front of a semi-truck.

The truck, which is owned by Hord’s Family Farms, was operated by Mark Weisenhauer. Weisenhauer was not injured in the crash.

Specific charges were not known at the time of publication.
