SHELBY — One man was flown by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus after a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Ohio 98 and Ohio 598.
A man was reported to have been driving northbound on Ohio 598, ran a stop sign and attempted to turn left and westbound onto Ohio 98, according to Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Kissling.

The man’s vehicle then was struck and T-boned by a semi-truck owned by Hord Family Farms.
The semi-truck’s eastbound direction of travel on Ohio 98 did not have a stop sign.
The truck pushed the other vehicle into the ditch and the vehicle came to rest in a cornfield.
The man was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, while the truck driver did not suffer any injuries.
Kissling said the man’s identity is not being released pending the ongoing investigation of his health status.
Kissinger said law enforcement officials will further investigate the crash by viewing footage of a security tape from Cole Distributing.
Also assisting at the scene was Tiro-Auburn Volunteer Fire Department, Life Support Team EMS, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ronk’s Towing and Recovery of Crestline.
