The Community Foundation’s Match Day turned into a resounding success Wednesday. Janet Pry, Director of the Community Foundation for Crawford County, reported that as of Wednesday evening, $38,392 had been donated. Pry happily added that number was still rising.

The Community Foundation pledged to match the donated funds up to $20,000. This was the first year that they had ever passed their matching pledge, Pry said. According to a previous Community Foundation press release, if the money raised exceeded the $20,000 mark, the donations would be divided proportionally among the various organizations.

Donations were dropped off at the Community Foundation in Bucyrus and the Crestline Public Library, with additional donations being made by delivering them to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Pry said the Community Foundation will continue to accept donations through Friday by delivering them to the Community Foundation or dropping them off in the Foundation’s drop-box.
