All the numbers are in and they are official in the race for a Crestline school board seat. James Glauer has claimed the final spot at the table.
Glauer defeated incumbent Jeff Wilhite by five votes, 450-445. It was a 10-vote margin in Richland County, 52-42, that put Glauer over the top. Wilhite was the favorite among Crawford County voters in the Crestline district by a 403-398 count.
This election was Glauer’s second attempt to win a seat on the school board of his alma mater. Glauer was also a teacher, coach and administrator in the district during his career in education.
The other two open seats on the Crestline school board in this election went to Robyn Almanson with 563 total votes and Robert Salvati with 487.
