A house on Kerstetter Road near Bucyrus turned out to be the victim of a hit-and-run accident in the early morning hours on Friday.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just after midnight regarding a non-injury accident. Investigating deputies determined that a car driven by 35-year-old Maria Kahl had not negotiated a curve and went off the roadway and struck a house on Kerstetter Road.

Kahl left the scene of the accident but was located by Bucyrus police not far from the scene. Kahl was cited for failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident.

No one in the house was injured. Neither Kahl nor her passenger, 24-year-old Travis Belt, reported any injuries.
