One driver and her passenger were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle accident near Galion at the intersection of St. Rt. 309 and Gelsanliter Road.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports the accident occurred shortly before 11:30 that evening when a vehicle operated by 36-year-old Ruth Driskill of Galion failed to stop for a stop sign while traveling north on Gelsanliter Road. Driskill’s vehicle collided with one operated by 20-year-old Mathew Tobias Jr. of Marion.

Both Driskill and her passenger, 18-year-old Shelby Compston of Galion were taken to Galion Community Hospital with minor injuries. Neither Tobias nor his passenger, 25-year-old Colton Bargo of Ontario, were injured.

Driskill was cited for failure to yield.
