Press release
Buckeye Central Middle School’s Woods Council is hosting a hike in the BC Outdoor Learning Lab on Thursday, October 27th and you’re invited. Students have prepared an educational tour for families during daylight hours from 4:30 to 6:00pm to begin at the GE Community Pavilion. Tourists will visit eight sights in the woods to share knowledge about animals found in our area, including a visit to a suspected fox den and details about the Emerald Ash Borer that has decimated our Ash trees.
At 7:00pm until 9:30, the woods become haunted and you’re invited to hike the dark trails to discover secrets of New Washington’s recent past. Rain date is scheduled for October 29th for both events.
The events are free, however, donations received will be used to maintain the BC Outdoor Learning Lab, a nature park that’s partnering with the Crawford Park District to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the northern portion of Crawford County. The park is open to the public during daylight hours. For more information, contact Marianne Williamson at mwilliamson@bcbucks.org or 419-492-1035, ext. 1400.
