MANSFIELD, Ohio – Robert Slabodnick, Program Director of the Respiratory Care program at North Central State College, announces 100 percent of the May 2013 graduating class have successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Entry Level Examination requirements and have earned Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT) credentials.  The NBRC’s Entry Level Examination is the state’s requirement to obtain a license to practice Respiratory Care medicine in Ohio.  Based upon the graduates’ examination scores, the class as a whole obtained a rating of 154.5% of the national mean for all candidates taking this examination.

Mr. Slabodnick also announced that over half of the graduating class have taken the voluntary NBRC Advanced Practitioner Examination and earn the credential Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The RRT examination is the highest general practice credential one may earn in the profession.
