An even dozen people were in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday for arraignments on felony charges and indictments. Included in that number were a woman charged with stealing from the Bucyrus Elementary PTO and the man charged with fleeing from Bucyrus police on a motorcycle.
Renee` Stratton is charged with fourth-degree felony theft. The amount alleged to be missing from the Bucyrus PTO is less than $10,000. Judge Sean Leuthold agreed to a personal recognizance bond.
Jacob Thompson is charged with third-degree failure to comply and could be sentenced to as long as 36 months in prison if found guilty of the charge. The judge set Thompson’s bond at $150,000.

The following is a list of those arraigned Monday, charges against them and bonds set: Renee` Stratton, F4 theft (personal recognizance bond); Janestreta Williams, F4 aggravated assault and M1 domestic violence (personal recognizance bond); Donald McConaughey, F3 having weapons under disability, two counts of F5 drug possession and M$ drug paraphernalia (personal recognizance bond); Walter Gribble Jr., F3 weapons under disability, MM marijuana possession and M4 drug paraphernalia (personal recognizance bond); Micah Hancock, 10 counts of F4 pandering obscenities to minors and M4 drug paraphernalia ($500,000); Samuel Shepherd, F2 possession of drugs, F5 drug trafficking and M4 drug paraphernalia (($500,000); Jacob Thompson, F3 failure to comply ($150,000); Tiffany Eaches, F5 theft and eight counts of F5 forgery ($100,000); Rickie Earl, F5 drug possession ($75,000); Ross Craner, F2 burglary ($150,000); Shane Shipley, F4 theft ($75,000); Adrianne Seitz, F2 felonious assault and M1 domestic violence ($25,000).
In other court news, Carrie Snyder, Clay McDonald and Tinki Kimble were each charged with violating community control. McDonald’s bond was set at $200,000, Kimble’s at $150,000 and Snyder’s at $100,000.
Chase Grogan was formally sentenced after a pre-sentence investigation following his guilty pleas to one count of felony 5 theft and three counts of felony 5 forgery.
“I’m not real confident you’re going to be able to stay on community control,” the judge told Grogan and then took note of the defendant’s tattoos which read “peace, love and strength.”
“It doesn’t look like you’re able to do any of those things.”
The judge then sentenced Grogan to five years of community control with mandatory drug and alcohol treatment. Grogan must also pay restitution in the amount of $1,548.75.
