The Bucyrus City Schools Education Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Bridges Grant. This grant will be awarded to a teacher who exhibits exceptional creativity and wants to pass on the desire of learning to his or her students.

Any parent, student, teacher or staff person may nominate a Bucyrus Elementary or Bucyrus Secondary School teacher for this grant. Teachers may also nominate themselves. Once nominated, the teacher will be notified and given the opportunity to complete the application process. Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Lincoln Administrative Center, located at 170 Plymouth Street, as well as the school offices no later than Friday, October 25, 2013. Nominations can also be done over the phone by calling (419) 562-4045.

“There are so many creative, dedicated teachers in the Bucyrus City School system,” Foundation President Tim Constantine said. “The Bridges Grant was set up to help recognize and subsidize a deserving teacher in his or her pursuits in the classroom. The Education Foundation is extremely happy to be able to be associated with the Bridges family in presenting the opportunity for this grant.”
