Due to the need to install new gas lines, W. Church St. near the intersection of Portland Way North will be closed during the day for approximately two days during the week of September 30 – October 4, 2013. During the evening hours the road will be opened with steel plates covering the holes on the roadway.
Also during next week, the western most lane of traffic southbound on Portland Way North near the intersection of Harding Way will be closed for the same project. Southbound traffic will be continuous but higher than normal congestion will occur due to maintaining only one lane of travel.
Please be aware of higher than usual traffic issues in this area next week. When work begins on W. Church St. we will be closing W. Church St. at Jefferson for westbound travel except for local residents.
