Living History Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 4th and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 5th at Lowe-Volk Park.
There will be many Revolutionary War period demonstrators and vendors along with military and Native American camps. New this year will be Butler’s Rangers who will assist the Native Americans in the reenactment of the capture of Colonel Crawford. Other new opportunities include a presentation by Shequonur, a Shawnee Storyteller, and a children’s nature walk which will focus on native plants.
There will be four opportunities to participate in a bus tour to the Battle Island Monument and the Colonel Crawford Burn Site Memorial in Wyandot County.
Beginning at 8pm on Saturday evening, there will be woodland lantern tours which will focus on Native American life.
Living History Days will open at 9am on June 4th with a Scout lead flag raising and United in Harmony men’s chorus singing the National Anthem.
