Wynford’s baseball season ended yesterday with a 6-1 loss to New London at the Division IV district championship game played at Shelby High School.

The Royals finish the year 19-6 while New London, with a 24-3 record, will begin regional play on Thursday.

The Wildcats scored four times in the first against starter Trey Stone on three walks, a hit batter and two Wynford errors. New London plated two more runs in the second.

Wynford’s only run scored in the third. With two outs Caleb Stone was hit by a pitch, Qyenton Stone walked and Wyatt Smith singled.

New London’s Ryan Lane went the distance allowing just four hits and striking out eight.
