GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Avita Home Health and Hospice will host its second annual Healing Hearts Car Show on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 11 a.m.
The event will take place at the Avita Home Health and Hospice building, located at 1220 N. Market St. in Galion.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Avita’s free annual Kids Grief Camp. Held every June for children ages 5 to 12, the two-day camp offers activities, crafts, meals, and support for youths coping with loss, divorce, foster care transitions, and other life challenges. The program will mark its 20th anniversary next year.
The family-friendly car show features dash plaques for participants, trophies across five categories—including People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice—along with a live DJ, local food trucks, and a 50/50 raffle.
In addition to fundraising efforts, Avita Home Health and Hospice provides in-home nursing, physical therapy, hospice care, chaplaincy, and social work services across the region. The locally owned nonprofit is actively seeking volunteers for office assistance and patient companionship.
