BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Junior Fair Board has announced a robust lineup of youth events and livestock competitions for the upcoming fair week, running July 20 through July 25 in Bucyrus.
Led by local 4-H and FFA members ages 13 to 19, the Junior Fair Board will coordinate daily livestock shows and manage a centralized information office on the fairgrounds. To match this year’s “Fiesta” theme, the youth board is introducing several new interactive activities alongside traditional agricultural events.
The week’s schedule highlights include:
- Monday: Swine, poultry, and lamb shows, alongside the annual “Cookie for your Cutie” fundraiser.
- Tuesday: All-day rabbit and beef shows, paired with a “Walking Guacamole” event hosted by OSU Extension Agent Allison Cooper.
- Wednesday: Kids Day activities, an alpaca and llama agility show, a “Battle the Burrito” eating contest, and Cloverbuds project sharing.
- Thursday: Dairy and swine shows, an infield egg-toss contest with cash prizes, and a “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” game.
- Friday: The prestigious Showman of Showmen round-robin competition at 5:00 p.m., followed by evening tractor pulls.
- Saturday: The annual junior livestock sale, evening demolition derby, and pig scramble.
