NORTH ROBINSON (Crawford County Now) — The familiar track at H.J. Gary Field aided the hosts as Colonel Crawford qualified a large contingent of athletes at Division V districts on Thursday and Saturday.
The top four in each event qualify for regionals next weekend. Boys go to Fostoria and girls go to Cuyahoga Heights.
Other county and area schools also had athletes move on, with personal bests being set.
EHMANN, ROSTON, BRUNER WIN
Crawford’s Robin Ehmann won the girls shot put at 37-4. Sydney Wirebaugh took third in the discus with a 104-9 throw.
Cami Roston won the pole vault at 10-6. Brooklyn Good went 15-2 in the long jump to place fourth.
Brynn Bruner’s personal best of 2:27.69 won her the 800 meters. She placed second in the 1600 in 5:37.54 and in the 3200 in 12:06.67, a PB.
Rylinn Edgington was third in 5:42.32 in the 1600 and third in the 3200 in a season-best 12:07.88.
The girls 4X800 relay team of Bruner, Edgington, Ashlyn Voll and Sophia Keller also won in 10:24.61.
Emmi Powers got second in the high jump at 5 feet and Ansley Witter fourth at 4-10.
The boys 4X200 (Shawn Auck, Isaac Stirm, Gordie Ekin and Landon Strasbugh) also won with a time of 1:31.58.
The 4X100 (Hayde Spears, Roen Thew, Avery Powers, John DeGray) was second in 44.22 and the 4X400 (Spears, Thew, Powers, Kipton Cass) getting third in 3:32.88.
Auck, Stirm, Ekin and Strasbaugh ran the 4X800 in 8:39.89, which placed them third.
Thew took second in the 110 hurdles in 15.87.
DeGray’s 52.28 was good for third in the boys 400 meters. Powers was second in the 300 hurdles in 39.68.
Shawn Auck qualified in the 3200 in a season best of 9:57.74, good for fourth. Isaac Stirm got third in the 1600 with a PB of 4:36.88.
The CC throwing duo of Payne DeGray and Dom Dean finished 3-4 in the shot put; DeGray going 46-feet, 6.5 inches and Dean 46-1.5.
Luke Christman also qualified in the discus, throwing 149-11 for second place.
Dom Dean won the discus throwing 152-9.
The boys 4X100 of Hayden Spears, Roen Thew, Avery Powers and Jacob Cochran clocked 44.22 to place second.
BOGGS WINS PAIR
Bucyrus distance ace Karter Boggs took both the 1600 in 4:25.24 and the 3200 in 9:48.98.
Bucyrus sophomore Ivan Pirnstill went 13-6 in the pole vault to capture top honors.
PERRY PLACES IN THREE
Buckeye Central’s Collin Perry won the 200 meters in 23.26, took second in the long jump at 21-2 and second in the 100 meters in 11.44.
Phoebe Dallas high jumped 5 feet, a PB, to place second. Sophia Martin ran a PB of 2:30.48 in the 800 meters.
Sarah Martin got fourth in the 400 meters in 1:03.60, a PB. Bailey Jackson was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.01.
The Buckettes’ 4X800 relay got second in 10:33.23 and the 4X400 relay third in 4:15.98.
Sophia Martin, Phoebe Dallas, Angela Figueroa and Sarah Martin ran both relays for BC.
BULLDOGS EARN PBS
Crestline’s Colten Keller’s 1:58.22 was a PB and earned him second place in the 800 meters.
Jocelyn Noblit ran the 400 in 1:03.11 for third place. Nevaeh Hill placed fourth in the 3200 in a PB tie of 12:12.88.
Noblit, Addison Hill, Addysen Giesige Faith Songer ran a 4:22.7 in the 4X400 to place fourth.
Getting third was the same quartet in the 4X800 in 10:40.24.
WARRIOR RELAY SETS RECORD
Mohawk’s 4X200 relay team of John Stansbery, Mason Schimpf, Riley Coffman and Jagger Ekleberry broke a school record in 1:32.81 to place fourth.
The previous record was set at last year’s district meet.
The 4X400 and 4X800 relays also won in 3:31.42 and 8:18.47, respectively.
Eli Chevalier notched third in the discus with a throw of 149-4. John Stansbery took third in the 100 meters in 11.54.

Ritzler takes second in 3 events
GIBSONBURG — Wynford and Seneca East girls competed in the district here.
Lady Tiger Aubrey Ritzler was second in the girls 3200 meters in 11:28, a PB, and in the 1600 in 5:20.34.
She ran the 800 in a PB of 2:22.86.
Izzy Stockmaster high jumped 5-1 to place third and got second in the 300 hurdles in 51.10.
The 4X100 relay of Brianna Ball, Stockmaster, Quinlan Burroughs and Camryn Lantz won in 52.13. Ball, Avery Schwab, Julia Enders and Lantz got second in the 4X400 relay in 4:20.23.
Royals Advance
Wynford’s Allison Brewer got third in the 300-meter hurdles in a PB time of 51.24.

Seneca East boys advance
FOSTORIA — Seneca East boys had several regional qualifiers here Friday night.
Tigers Freshman Jaron Depinet was tops in the high jump at 6-2.
Nevin Holmes captured the 1600 meters in 4:51.33 and Seneca East teammate Ethan Shultz took second in the long jump going 21-2.25, a personal best.

OAK HARBOR — Galion’s Jacob Chambers will move on in the boys D-III long jump competition.
