BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Council on Aging (COA) is gearing up for a busy May, headlined by the “Spring Spectacular” and a variety of social events aimed at local seniors.
This year’s flagship event, the Older Americans Month Spring Spectacular, will take place on May 14 with a “Viva Las Vegas” theme. Michelle Tuttle of the COA noted that tickets for the event, which features lunch and multiple community sponsors, are selling quickly.
The month’s festivities kick off on May 5 with a Cinco de Mayo social featuring a $5 taco salad bar. Other highlights include “Reading Buddies” on May 8, where students from Wayside Christian School will visit to read with seniors, and monthly bingo sessions scheduled for both Crestline and Bucyrus. Registration is required for all activities to ensure adequate seating and supplies.
