NEVADA, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—As Ohio’s spring turkey season approaches, local outdoor enthusiasts are flocking to Sportsmen’s Stop to gear up with the latest firearms, archery equipment, and expert advice.
Located on the Old Lincoln Highway just outside Upper Sandusky, the family-owned shop is currently fully stocked for “tax season,” a peak period for hunters looking to upgrade their gear. Co-owner Levi Abbott highlighted new inventory from major brands including Hoyt, Bear, and Darton, emphasizing that spring is the ideal time for bow setups and varmint control.
“We’re less than a month away from turkey season now,” Abbott said, noting that youth season begins April 18, followed by the regular adult season on April 25. “We’ve got everything from TSS shells and shotguns to decoys and calls.”
Beyond retail, the shop distinguishes itself through local service, offering an indoor gun and bow range for sightings, an in-house gunsmith, and personalized coaching for beginners and families.
The Sportsman’s Stop is located at 2733 County Highway 330 and maintains an active presence on Facebook and Instagram for daily deals.
