BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Humane Society Serving Crawford County is preparing for its premier annual fundraiser, the “Putting on the Dog” Charity Auction, set to take place Friday, May 1, at The Hub in Crestline.
The event features a dinner catered by Lucas-based Port-A-Cook, featuring a menu of pork and chicken, followed by a live and silent auction. Highlights of this year’s auction include highly sought-after bourbon selections such as Blanton’s and Weller, as well as premium gift baskets from Kroger, Tito’s, and coffee-themed sets. Sports and entertainment fans can also bid on Cleveland Guardians tickets and vouchers for Splatter Park and various theater performances.
“Every dollar raised goes directly back to the animals in the shelter,” said Tricia, a representative for the Humane Society. “It covers everything from daily needs like food and pens to essential medical care.”
The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at 311 North Seltzer Street. Tickets are available for $45 at the shelter or $50 online through Saturday, with full tables of eight available for $450.
