The Colonel Crawford boys’ basketball team may have had a delayed start to their season, but when the Eagles did open the campaign they did so with a win. Colonel Crawford defeated Crestline in a non-league contest Wednesday, 54-27.

The Eagles put three players in double figures for the evening with Owen Adams’ 19 points setting the pace. Brody Martin added 12 and Derek Burkhart put up 10. Colonel Crawford connected on six 3-pointers in the contest.

The Bulldogs, 0-2 after the loss at home, were led in scoring by Zach Ggregory and Tyler Sipes with six points each.

Both Colonel Crawford and Crestline will play at home on Saturday in their respective league openers, the Eagles against Mohawk and the Bulldogs against Danville.
