The Board of Education for the Crestline Exempted Village School District met in special session Thursday and named an interim superintendent for the district.
Board members ratified Pioneer Superintendent Greg Nickoli as interim superintendent while Noreen Mullens undergoes some sick leave.
“This will be until Noreen gets back on her feet,” Council President Robert Salvati said, “Nickoli’s agreed to help us out for awhile.”
Nickoli will spend a few hours a week at Crestline for paperwork and check writing purposes, helping to keep things moving along.
The board is optimistic and hopes Mullens is able to return in a few weeks.
