BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Pioneer Bucyrus DECA has earned national recognition, securing four spots at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida, from April 26-29, 2025.

The chapter’s student-run business, the Red Zone Spirit Store, achieved Gold Certification for the 2024-2025 school year. Grace Jackson and Aysiz Wade, under the guidance of advisors Jody Tackett and Jeff Funigiello, will compete at the ICDC, presenting their market planning knowledge about the Red Zone Spirit Store. The store provides students with hands-on experience in marketing, finance, and management.

Additionally, McKenzie Rowland and Jenna Ashley led initiatives in community awareness, school activities, and alumni engagement, earning Thrive Level recognition for Pioneer Bucyrus DECA. They completed two Thrive campaigns, demonstrating leadership and commitment to community connections.

DECA’s School-Based Enterprise Certification Program recognizes student-operated businesses that maintain high marketing and retail standards. The Red Zone Spirit Store’s success highlights the dedication and business expertise of the Pioneer Bucyrus DECA members.
