MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development is set to host its 18th annual Business Expo this Thursday, featuring a pet-themed “Unleash the Possibilities” event.

The expo, scheduled for Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Hall on the Richland County Fairgrounds, will showcase 111 vendors from various community businesses, according to Lisa Duckworth, Chamber Program & Events Manager. This year’s theme encourages vendors to incorporate pet-related elements into their booths, with attendees expected to see pet giveaways, themed attire, and decorated booths.

A highlight of the event will be the presence of the Humane Society of Richland County and the Richland County Dog Shelter, both bringing adoptable dogs.

Attendees can also expect to see the Four Leaf Rover mobile spay and neuter RV, and enjoy food from two local food trucks, Truck & Trail and the Kitchen.

Special activities include a K9 unit demonstration by the Mansfield Police Department at 1 p.m., and a display of the Ontario Police Department’s BearCat armored vehicle. Chubby the Dalmatian will also make an appearance around noon for photo opportunities.

The chamber is also hosting a donation drive to support the Humane Society and the dog shelter. Attendees who bring items such as pet food, treats, cleaning supplies, or busy bones will be entered into a prize drawing.

In addition to the expo, a business after-hours event will be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. The event will feature appetizers and networking opportunities.
